Cottrell & Ross have been providing Whangarei with expert panel and paint services for over 60 years; building up a large working knowledge of makes and models of vehicles, paint requirements and welding and finishing technologies. We keep our focus on the standard of our repairs and the quality of our customer service, taking great pride in our reputation for being friendly, down to earth and above all, honest.
Cottrell & Ross began in the 1950s as Bill Cottrell Car Painters, a family-run auto paint workshop. Founder Bill Cottrell later partnered with long-time employee Clive Ross, and together they grew the business into a successful Whangārei workshop. Clive and his wife, Carol, eventually took over, expanding the services and upgrading the workshop’s technology and equipment to a very high standard. The legacy continued when Tim Wall, a dedicated employee of more than 15 years, purchased the business from Clive and Carol. Now, Wayne Tupe, a long-time friend of Tim’s, has taken over Cottrell & Ross to carry that legacy forward and keep the business running as it should. With Tim and his wife Amy, alongside Clive still being active members of the team, giving a sense of continuity and ensuring the smooth transition of ownership.
